The Mallacoota gallery was created following an enjoyable road trip with June from Melbourne to Mallacoota, via Tinamba on the way up, and stopping at Paynesville, just past Lakes Entrance on the way back. Coffee and cake stops at Yarragon, Rosedale and Cann River added to the enjoyment.
Mallacoota is on the far south eastern tip of the Victorian coastline prior to venturing into New South Wales, and is virtually surrounded by the Croajingalong National Park. It is a very isolated town, around 25 kilometres off the Princes Highway and about half way between Melbourne and Sydney. It has approximately 1000 permanent residents, increasing to around 8000 during holiday periods. Popular with boating enthusiasts and fishermen/women.
Eagle Point is 6 kilometres out of Paynesville within the Gippsland Lakes area.
And at last some koala photos, taken on Raymond Island, reached by ferry from Paynesville on our return journey.
