Included in this gallery are some photos taken along the ten kilometre approximately walk around the base of Uluru in the early morning. Due to the limited water options and lack of facilities, early morning is the best time to start out.
These photos give a different perspective of Uluru and an indication of the true colour of the sandstone without the illumination of the sunrise and sunset.
Also, in this gallery, there are some photos taken many years' ago, one of which is of the 'Kangaroo Tail', a section of rock on the side of Uluru so named because of its similarity to a kangaroo tail. It has over the years broken off half way down, and therefore the original 'kangaroo tail' is no longer in existence.
