The Cape York Peninsula is the furthermost point of the Australian continent, and extends from Cooktown to Cape York and the tip of the Australian continent. It includes The Old Telegraph Track, one of the last remaining 4WD adventures in Australia, and some beautiful and isolated parks.

Cape York Peninsula - Lakefield National Park
Lakefield National Park, now known as Rinyirru National Park, is on the south east corner of the Cape York Peninsula, and is Queensland's second largest national park, renowned for its river systems, wetlands and prolific birdlife. It is 4WD only and is not accessible in the wet season.

Cape York Peninsula - Seisia
Seisia is a small settlement on the far north east corner of the Cape York Peninsula. A great stopping off point prior to setting off to The Tip.

Cape York Peninsula - The Tip
The Tip is the furtherest northern point of the Australian Continent, and the end of a red dirt road stretching from Bamaga to Frangipani Beach. From the car parking area at the end of the road there is a rocky climb to The Tip with amazing views over the Coral Sea and the Torres Strait.

Cape York Peninsula - Thursday Island
Not a part of Cape York Peninsula, but accessed via Cape York Peninsula. Thursday Island is approximately 39 kilometres north of Cape York Peninsula and can be accessed by ferry from Seisia, or by plane to Horn Island and ferry across the strait to Thursday Island. It is the administrative centre for the Torres Strait Islands region.
