Stuart and Barkly Highways
The Stuart and Barkly Highways contain images from the central region of the Northern Territory which is less developed than the north or south. Darwin, Kakadu, Katherine and the surrounding regions are to the north, and Alice Springs, the West and East MacDonnells, Uluru, and surrounding areas are to the south.

Tennant Creek Old Telegraph Station
This telegraph repeater station is one of a number of repeater stations built around the 1870s stretching from Adelaide to Darwin to enable Australia to connect with the rest of the world via a submarine link to Britain via Java.

Barrow Creek Telegraph Station Historical Reserve
One of a series of repeater stations completed in 1872 stretching from Adelaide to Darwin, then connecting by submarine cable to England via Java. This enabled Australia to connect with the rest of the world.
Bonney Well
South of Katherine, the well was excavated by Alfred Giles In 1879 to water his sheep en route to Katherine as Bonney Creek was dry. In the 1930s the well was replaced by a bore and windmill which stands at the roadside stop off point today.

Giant Statues at Aileron Roadhouse
The giant figure of the "Anmatjere Man" high on the hill was erected in December 2005. It is 17 metres tall and weighs 8 tonnes. In 2008 the figure of the woman and child were added near the Aboriginal Art Gallery. Aileron Roadhouse is on the Stuart Highway north of Alice Springs.
