Cradle Mountain

Cradle Mountain is the set off point for hiking across The Overland Track, however, these photos were taken from the circuit walking track which surrounds Dove Lake at the foot of Cradle Mountain around 2000. If you are lucky, and arrive early in the morning at Lake Dove on a calm, sunny day you can get amazing reflections. The circuit walk around the lake is 5.7 kilometres, and at that time, provided you have good walking shoes, was quite manageable.
