These images are of the damming of the Ord River and creation of Lake Argyle. The original homestead has been removed from the now flooded valley and recreated on higher land and is accessible to the public. There are still a few cattle and wallabies which missed relocation, living on the peaks of mountains above the level of the lake. This enormous project has created opportunities to capture the rains in the wet season for the now thriving agriculture industry in Kununurra.
