The first time I visited Monkey Mia the rangers, following the feeding of the dolphins, the would turn on the lawn sprinkler for the pelicans, who used to love to stand under the spray. This didn't happen on a more recent visit and I felt sad. Maybe the pelicans who used to love the sprinkler were no longer around... To my regret and at the risk of my reputation I have included a couple of very very bad photos, but one has to include the pelicans under the lawn sprinkler at Monkey Mia
