Painted in 2019 by Australian street-artist, Smug, the emphasis of the artwork is on the kelpie and highlights the importance of working dogs to the farming communities. The town name ‘Nullawil’ is derived from two Aboriginal words, “Nulla” meaning killing stick, and “Wil” derived from Willcock meaning Galah. As a nod to the history of Nullawil, the dog collar and registration tag has a galah and a stick engraved on it.
